Transfer Station Updated Hours: The Transfer Station will be open Tuesdays from 10-2 on March 24, March 31, & April 7. Starting March 27 it will be closed on Fridays, and starting March 28 it will be open from 9-3 on Saturdays and Sundays.

Transfer Station Update: As of March 16, 2020 the Woodstock Transfer Station will temporarily limit what will be accepted. The following is a list of acceptable items: Bagged Household Trash, Paper- newspaper; magazines; junk mail, Tin Cans and Metal Covers, Glass- food and drink containers, Plastic- food and drink containers, Waxed Cardboard- milk and juice containers, Metal. Items currently not being accepted: Cardboard, Used Oil and Antifreeze, Batteries, Appliances with Freon- refrigerators; freezers; A/C units; dehumidifiers, Fluorescent Light Bulbs, Used Clothing, Take it or Leave it Items, Mattresses, Bulky Waste, Tires, Propane Tanks. These are precautionary measures to help keep all residents and employees safe. Please adhere to these temporary restrictions.

 **The Transfer Station is accepting mattresses and box springs in a recycling program. Please see the attendant before recycling. If they are not heavily soiled they can be recycled. If they are heavily soiled they are considered bulky waste and a fee will be charged.**

**Sherwin Williams will accept your old and leftover paint.  There is a maximum of five gallons, cans must be sealed with no leaks.**

Function and Services

What We Do:

The Woodstock Transfer Station is located at 49 Paine District Road.  It is open to Woodstock Residents, Woodstock Property Owners and Woodstock Businesses Only.  It is a collection facility for municipal solid waste, and recyclables, brush, used batteries, waste oil, etc.

RESIDENTIAL TRANSFER STATION PERMITS ARE ON SALE at the TOWN CLERK'S OFFICE during Town Hall business hours.

  • Monday-Tuesday-Thursday: 8:30am-4:30pm
  • Wednesday: 8:30am-6:00pm
  • Friday: closed

In addition, Special Permits can be purchased at the Transfer Station (during Transfer Station hours) from an attendant, payable by check only.  A receipt will be issued.

If you are renewing your sticker by mail, please send a copy of the vehicle registration along with a check made payable to "Town of Woodstock."
