REPLACEMENT OF BRIDGE No. 169017 – PEAKE BROOK ROAD OVER PEAKE BROOK

Sealed Bids for the construction of the Replacement of Bridge No. 169017 – Peake Brook Road Over

Peake Brook will be received by the Town of Woodstock, at the Office of the First Selectman:

Woodstock Town Hall, 415 Route 169, Woodstock, CT 06281, until 1:00 PM local time on Thursday,

October 19, 2023, after which time no further bids will be accepted. Bids received will be publicly

opened and read at the Selectmen’s Meeting on Thursday, October 19, 2023 at 7:00 PM. The Project

consists of replacing the existing bridge with a 20-foot span, precast concrete three-sided ridged frame

(box culvert) and associated roadway improvements.

Bids will be received for a single prime Contract. Bids shall be on a unit price basis as indicated in the Bid Form.

The Issuing Office for the Bidding Documents is: CHA, 400 Capitol Boulevard, Rocky Hill, CT 06067.

Prospective Bidders may obtain copies of the Bidding Documents from the Issuing Office as described below:

Electronic (PDF) copies of the Bidding Documents may be obtained from the Issuing Office, by emailing

Pete Parent at pparent@chacompanies.com to request a link to the download site. Hard Copies of

Bidding Documents will not be issued. The date that the Bidding Documents are transmitted by the

Issuing Office will be considered the Bidder’s date of receipt of the Bidding Documents. Partial sets of

Bidding Documents will not be available from the Issuing Office. Neither Owner nor Engineer will be

responsible for full or partial sets of Bidding Documents, including Addenda if any, obtained from

sources other than the Issuing Office.

A pre-bid conference will not be held.

Bid security shall be furnished in accordance with the Instructions to Bidders.
