The Woodstock Veterans Assistance Office is here to provide dedicated assistance FREE of charge to Veterans and their families. There are two components of the Woodstock Veterans Assistance Office. The first component is The American Legion Post 111 Veterans Service Officer whose work involves applications for VA health care, VA disability benefits, providing information referrals, and resources on education, business, death benefits, and other important topics.

The second component is the Connecticut Soldier, Sailor and Marine Fund Representative. The propose of this fund is to provide temporary financial assistance to meet the financial maintenance requirements of eligible applicants. This special revenue trust fund can allocate assistance to Connecticut Veterans for the propose of furnishing food, shelter, wearing apparel, medical or hospital care, and care and relief, or in bearing the funeral expenses of eligible persons who demonstrate need.
