Tercentennial Memorial Stone Replacement

On October 19, 2023, a new Tercentennial Memorial Stone was installed at the mini-common intersection of Old Hall Road and Child Hill Road. In March of 2022, the Board of Selectmen were made aware by Reverend Jamie Harrison and others that the original memorial marker had gone missing. We have been working to get it replaced using ARPA funding, and today it was completed.

There will be a formal dedication in the near future, details will be shared once they are finalized.

First Selectman, Jay Swan, shared the following: "After a lot of effort by interested parties in replacing this important historic marker, it was finally done today. The Board of Selectmen, using ARPA funds and the skills of Mercer Monuments of Plainfield, resulted in this beautiful stone."
