Thank you to Director of Public Works John Navarro and the Woodstock Highway Department for a Job Well Done!

I would like to take this time to commend John Navarro and his entire crew for the work they did during the past large snow storm and the clean up that followed.

I spent my career with the State of Connecticut, DOT working with snow equipment and snow removal operations, ending up as the Transportation Equipment Manager for DOT.  With that, I had close to 32 years in working in this field.

The Woodstock road crew did an excellent job in keeping up with the storm, knowing when to apply material so it wouldn’t get wasted by plowing it off and performed perfectly in the post storm clean up in getting our roads back to bare pavement and plowing back to the road edges prior to the upcoming freezing temperatures.

This takes a lot of work and knowledge by everyone, from the Highway Foremen to each of the equipment operators.

Your office should be very proud on how the Town of Woodstock performed during this storm.
