Woodstock's Deferment Plan for Grand List 2019 Tax Bills

Due to the Covid-19 Pandemic, the Town of Woodstock will be honoring Governor Lamont’s Executive Orders, 7S, 7W, and 7X, in relation to the Grand List 2019 Municipal Tax Bills.   All Grand List 2019 Tax Bills that become due and payable on July 1, 2020; Real Estate, Personal Property, Motor Vehicle, and Sewer Usage, will have an extended three-month grace period  to pay without interest until October 1, 2020, for all taxpayers (except escrow accounts and non-qualified landlords).  On October 2, 2020, all unpaid bills will be subject to the normal 18% per year interest charges, or 1 ½% per month, which means that all balances will have 6 % interest added to them for the month of October.   Motor vehicle taxes not paid by October 1, 2020 will be reported as delinquent to the Motor Vehicle Department on October 2, 2020.

All escrow accounts and non-qualified landlords’ Real Estate payments must be postmarked or in the office by August 3, 2020 to avoid interest charges.  Interest will be charged on August 4, 2020 at a rate of one and one-half percent per month or 18% annually.
