The Towers, LLC - Cell Tower Proposals

On December 12, 2024, the Town of Woodstock received a notice from the law firm of Cuddy & Feder, LLP, of White Plains, New York, representing The Towers, LLC ("The Towers"), indicating that they will be proposing a new cell tower to be located at 90 Route 171 in Woodstock. (Technical Report)

On December 16, 2024, the Town of Woodstock received a notice from the law firm of Robinson+Cole, LLP, of Hartford, Connecticut, representing The Towers, LLC ("The Towers"), indicating that they will be proposing a new cell tower to be located at 835 Route 169 in Woodstock. (Technical Report)

All applications for new cell towers in the State are made to the Connecticut Siting Council who review and approve or deny these types of application. The notice that the Town received is required by State law before "The Towers" can make a formal application to the State. Town staff and commissions are preparing questions and concerns that will be forwarded to the applicant and Siting Council.

The Planning & Zoning Commission voted at their December 19, 2024 Meeting to require a Public Information Meeting, as permitted by State law, so that the applicant can explain the proposal to the Town.

The Public Information Meeting has been scheduled for the Planning & Zoning Meeting on February 20th, 2025 at 7:30PM. 

The public is encouraged to attend to receive information, ask questions and express their opinions.

Additional notifications of the Public Information Meeting will be published by the applicant, per Connecticut Siting Council requirements.
