The original Bracken Memorial Library was presented to the Board of Trustees at the Woodstock Academy in memory of native son and Academy alumnus Howard Webster Bracken, with the stipulation that the library would serve the general public as well as the school. Sited on the west side of Academy Hall, the original library building served the community until 1992, when the entire Academy underwent extensive renovation. The new library is now situated in the Ely Ransom Hall Memorial Gymnasium. Internet access available.
